Tell us about your morning routine.

My mornings are a little bit of everything: a little chaos, a little calm and a whole lot of negotiating with my alarm. lol

You see, waking up isn’t always as easy as opening your eyes and jumping out of bed.

Sometimes, I need five more minutes. And when those five more minutes are up? Well, sometimes I need another five.

Eventually, I get up and start my day with prayer. It’s my moment to connect with God before the day’s activities begin.

Then comes one of my favourite parts of the morning; checking what the day’s prompt is.

Yes, friend, I need to know what I’m writing about! A girl has to prepare herself before she comes here to motivate you people. lol

After that, its time to get ready for work (life of a 9-5er).

I shower, have my little skincare moment because this face and body deserves some attention too, and listen to music while I prepare for the day. There’s just something about music in the morning that makes getting ready feel better.

Now, there was a time when exercise was part of my routine. Emphasis on was.

I haven’t exercised in a while and let’s just say that habit and I need to have a serious conversation.

But that’s the thing about routines, isn’t it? Sometimes we start strong, life happens, and before we know it, the habits we once enjoyed have quietly disappeared.

The good news? We can always begin again.

My mornings aren’t perfect or particularly fancy. I’m not waking up at 4 a.m. to meditate beside a window while sipping a green smoothie. lol

And maybe that’s what I love about it.

It’s just prayer, a little writing, some self care, good music and getting myself ready to face the day.

And honestly, I’m learning that a morning routine doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.

Sometimes, it’s about giving yourself a few moments to connect with God, care for yourself, and prepare your mind before the demands of the day begin.

And sometimes, it’s about recognizing the habits you’ve dropped and giving yourself permission to pick them up again without beating yourself up over it.

So, yes, exercise, I’m coming back for you. Just don’t ask me when. lol

Maybe the goal isn’t to have a perfect morning routine. Maybe it’s to build a morning that helps you show up for yourself, one day at a time.

And that’s my typical kinda morning. A little chaos. A little calm. And another chance to begin again.
