I got this inspiration from a song titled “Finish Strong” by Jonathan Nelson (feel free to download) and I thought to share it with y’all.

I’m sure we all know we are in a race and it’s up to us to decide if we want to finish strong, weak or not even finish at all. The decision we make determines how we will finish. I also hope we are not ignorant of the fact that our existence in this world is not a mistake but actually we were born or created to fulfill a purpose-God’s purpose in our lives. The road, most definitely, is never gonna be smooth and the tides of the waters are not going to be calm. We must expect to bump into hurdles but it takes will, faith, preparation, endurance and strength to overcome all these and finish strong.

Imagine those runners in the Olympics that have to jump over hurdles while running, you think its easy, then try jumping and I mean really high on one spot for 30 times or more and then you may have an idea what these people go through just to win a price for their various countries. It takes them guts, preparation (a lot of it), will, strength, endurance and the faith (that they would win and claim the price) to even compete in the race. I mean, do you know that the weight of the country is on them and if they fail, the country fails? By the time we have all these, we must never shut out the only person who can make it happen for us, who can strengthen us even when our strength starts failing us, who can prepare us more than we could ever prepare ourselves. His name is JESUS. Yes! Not our family members, friends, colleagues or acquaintances. He is the one who believes in us when we, our friends, families, e.t.c. stops believing in us. He is the only guarantee for a strong finish in this crazy and highly competitive world we live in.

I urge us to locate him now that he is still near and willing to be found. You needn’t pay any fee to consult or see him, his services are totally free. Till next time, make the decision to run this race no matter what and I assure you’ll have a strong finish.
