So, I was working on an article when, suddenly, I said, “Nah!!”

Next thing I knew, I had trashed it. But then, I went back, retrieved it, and restored it to my drafts, saying to myself, “I know this hits home, but it needs to be shared.”

And almost immediately, WordPress hit me with a notification:

“Trash a post and then immediately restore it within 60 seconds. We’ve all been there.”

New achievement unlocked: REGRET NOTHING!

But honestly, that little incident made me realise something valuable: it’s okay to make mistakes.

Sometimes, we act on impulse. Sometimes, we second-guess ourselves. Sometimes, we make decisions only to turn around and undo them five minutes later. And sometimes, we get so caught up in getting things right that we forget we’re allowed to get things wrong.

The beautiful thing is that a mistake doesn’t always have to be the end of the story. Sometimes, you can retrace your steps, make adjustments, and try again.

And even when you can’t undo what you’ve done, you can learn from it and choose what to do differently next time.

So, give yourself some grace. You’re human, not a perfectly edited WordPress post.

Make the mistake. Learn the lesson. Fix what you can. And when all is said and done, regret nothing that has taught you something valuable.

After all, sometimes the very thing you’re tempted to throw away deserves a second look.

Mine almost ended up in the trash. Yours might just be your next big breakthrough.
